Setu Bandha Sarvangasana or bridge pose is a common posture or asana. Sanskrit: सेतुबन्धासन; Setu – Bridge, Bandha – Bind/Lock, Asana – Pose/Posture; Pronounced as SAY-tuh-bun-DHAHS-ana.
This asana gets its name from the Sanskrit words ‘Setu’, which means bridge, ‘Bandha’, which means lock, and ‘Asana’, which means pose. This pose resembles the structure of a bridge, and therefore, it is named as such. This pose stretches your back, neck, and chest and relaxes your body.
- Balasana
Balasana is a yoga posture and comes from the Sanskrit words bala and asana, which translate as “child” and “pose.”
- Vajrasana
“Vajrasana” comes from the Sanskrit word, “Vajra” which means “thunderbolt” or “diamond” and “asana” means “Pose”. This asana is also known as “Diamond Pose”. You can find that mostly the yoga asana should be performed on an empty stomach. But this asana can be done immediately after the meal. It is so effective after the meal and aids in proper digestion. This diamond pose is best for you to practicing breathing exercises and meditation. If you are practicing regular then it makes you stronger and healthier. - Sarvangasana
