Stress management through yoga
Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate.
Studies have shown that yoga and its self-soothing techniques can prevent the onset of anxiety. It also reduces anxiety immediately, modulating the stress response system. When you feel anxious, your breath becomes shallow. It's because your system is preparing to use all of its power to either fight or run away.
Following are a few yoga poses that you can do regularly to cure stress and anxiety:
